Culinary lessons with MERLION

On March 2, 2012, MERLION held another meeting of “Ladies’ IT Club”. The topic was cooking, so the event was organized in the studio of the famous TV presenter Yulia Vysotskaya.

According to the tradition, the gastronomic evening was held in ‘Ladies Only’ format, with the exception of the presenter, DJ, and bar tenders.

The official program of the culinary meeting was opened by Nadezhda Blanket, director of key partner management department (MERLION). As a starter, the ladies were offered a presentation “Care and support in women's life. HP Care Pack” by Irina Kuleshova, HP’s commercial representative working with partners. The first course was the speech “’IT LADY’ – HP’s Partnership Program” by Olga Zaretskaya, HP’s distributor manager. The second course was the speech “MERLION's Women Club on Microsoft Products" by Olga Kornakova, distributor manager, and a welcome address by Valeria Seregina, a representative of Symantec and head of the sales department. The dessert included interactive live communication with organizers represented by Nadezhda Blanket, who shared some news from MERLION and outlined the company’s development prospects in tandem with the vendor representatives.

After the official part, the beautiful representatives of IT industry were in for a surprise. It is an open secret that no food tastes better than that cooked in a good mood and eaten in a nice company. The organizers decided to let every guest prove this for herself and try her hand at creating a culinary masterpiece.

The ladies were divided into two teams, each one preparing a festive dinner under the supervision of real professionals in the field. The menu was based on a culinary trip to Italy. The first stop was the traditional risotto, the second - unusual salads, and for dessert – an exquisite lemon pie. While working on their culinary masterpieces, the ladies learned some professional secrets called to make their work in the kitchen easier, make the cooking process more pleasant and maximize the efficiency of using ingredients while creating even more appetizing dishes! Now, their way to the man’s heart is sure to be simpler and shorter. ☺

The culinary master class culminated in the long-awaited tasting of own dishes as well as the dishes cooked by professionals for the guests!

However, it was too early to wind up the event. As they say, show must go on… The evening would not have been complete without a unique cocktail-making master class during which bar tenders also shared some of their professional secrets. Now, as occasion offers, the participants may show off their expertise in the art of cocktail-making and spectacular serving! In addition, during the evening the ladies sang karaoke hits, danced and took photos in the entourage of Russia’s most famous kitchen.

Before the curtain fell, everyone received prizes: members of the “Ladies’ IT Club” were given elegant presents to complement their unforgettable impressions. Moreover, their arsenal now includes dozens of recipes to make their life more tasty, diverse and brighter! Seems like a good start of the most spring holiday - the 8th of March.
