A regular joint event of MERLION and HP - a conference for partners of the Far Eastern region of Russia "HP road-map" - was held on 9-11 September 2011 at recreation center Antarius (Kamchatka). This time around, in addition to the saturated business program, the participants had a meeting with the unique beauty of Kamchatka.

Day one: "time for business". Flight Vladivostok - Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, accommodation at the recreation center, conference, chat with HP representatives - it is only a partial program of the eventful first day.
As usual, the working part of the event was quite productive as issues on the agenda of the conference are the focus of attention of the Russian IT-market players. Welcoming remarks were delivered by representatives of the organizers (companies): Evgeny Achkasov, head of the Systems Integrators Department of MERLION, and Dmitri Eroshenko, regional representative of HP Russia in the Far East Federal District.

Constructive dialogue, discussion of problems the participants are concerned with, and exchange of experience are the main components of the first working day of the conference.
Day two: "business done, go for a rest!"
The second day of the event devoted to acquaintance with the mysterious Kamchatka passed under this slogan.
It is not easy unraveling the secret of this region because Kamchatka is a combination of the incongruous. That is where "ice and fire" truly came together. Here, hot springs and the snow of the mountain ranges covered like a white enamel exist side by side, winter and summer coexist in eternal confrontation. Here, green grass grows in the hot springs, and in the hottest period, snow on mountain tops does not melt. Our sightseers saw all these by themselves when they visited the canyon and the Opasny waterfall.

The weather on the peninsula is not consistent. Participants of the event felt this when Kamchatka decided to show its fickle nature and put the strength of the newcomers to the test. Literally, within few hours, a clear, sunny weather gave way to dense fog and heavy rain. In such circumstances, not everyone could ascend the Mutnovsky volcano, so only the most enduring reached the target and saw the mini-geysers of the fumarole. But then, everyone was able to admire the majestic cone of an active volcano that periodically, like a dragon, spews clouds of white smoke into the air. However, it is like experiencing the really hot breath of nature! After descending, the participants were entertained with a hot lunch at the foot of the volcano, and at night had dinner and a bath at the hotel.

Third day: Kamchatka - view from top.
On the third day, the organizers decided to show the beauty of Kamchatka from an unusual perspective, offering a helicopter tour to the participants.
The flight revealed a truly exciting spectacle to the participants: carved coasts of Kamchatka's rivers and lakes, scorched earth eruptions, nests of merged craters, breathing volcanoes - in short, everything that is known as severe pristine beauty of the northern nature. The participants particularly remember landing next to the Karymsky lake, known for its striated and spouting hot springs.
The participants conquered Kamchatka, but Kamchatka in response conquered their hearts, as the more you open yourself to this rough country, the more mysterious it becomes to you. The more often you tell about it, the more difficult to find words. A few days spent here is a whole life, which you will want to remember repeatedly.
