The distributor''s portfolio was replenished with smartphones from the Chinese brand Itel.
Merlion has signed a distribution agreement with Itel mobile, a Chinese manufacturer of mobile phones, smartphones, and accessories. Itel mobile is a subsidiary of Transsion Holdings, one of the ten leaders in the world in smartphone shipments in pieces. Other subsidiaries of the holding are the brands Tecno mobile and Infinix mobile – and Merlion also has a distribution contract with the latter signed at the end of 2021.
Itel mobile is a strong brand in the global smartphone market that is present in more than 50 countries. It has its own research centers and factories in China and Africa. According to the results of the last quarter of 2021, the company entered the top 10 largest smartphone manufacturers in the world.
The company positions its products as quality devices in the low-price segment. The popularity of the brand is justified not only by low cost but also by such features as large battery capacity and support for two SIM cards. All Itel mobile smartphones have their own itel OS.
The plans for the near future include expanding the representation of the Itel mobile brand in Merlion, and this applies to both smartphone lines and accessories (the manufacturer's product portfolio includes bluetooth headphones, fitness bracelets, memory cards, and car chargers).
