The final second position in the regatta result card based on the results of all days of the race has been taken by Bora-Bora boat, participating in the race under Panasonic and APC brands!
Already for three years in a row, MERLION, together with its key partners, has been taking part in Marmaris International Race Week – one of the most popular international regattas held in autumn in the vicinity of a Turkish city, Marmaris. Along with regatta, MERLION holds its own annual business conference in Turkey.
This year, MERLION’s conference has been focused on the technologies, which permit to cut the expenses and to improve business efficiency to the utmost degree. Specifically, HP has presented its new solutions for printing. They permit to make a third more copies, while cutting the electrical power expenses by 53%. Low electrical power consumption, alongside with yield increase, has become a speech subject of Intel’s experts, who have presented brand new processors of the sixth generation (Skylake). While developing new processors, Intel is also working at making computers get to sleep practically instantaneously, without consuming excess power, and wake up just as quickly – when users resume their activity.
A separate subject of the conference has become the information security. Microsoft’s specialists have described the advantages of Windows 10 and other solutions for protection of corporate and personal data under the conditions, when personal PCs are used for work alongside office computer equipment.
Developers have presented new data storage systems of Hitachi Data Systems, as well as integrated solutions of Panasonic and Huawei and upgraded UPSs of Ippon to the participants of MERLION’s business forum. Dedicated experts have shared their experience in implementation of projects in various industries, such as finance, oil-and-gas and telecommunication. Specific examples have been presented to demonstrate the effects of applying various IT solutions - at individual enterprises and in distributed holding companies.
This year, MERLION’s conference participants in Marmaris have noted that this event attracts more and more interest in business community, thanks to the wide range of participants from IT professionals, relevance of discussed issues and a unique program uniting the business forum and the exciting races of yachtsmen.
