Acorp and MERLION: 10 Years Together. New products, New Horizons of Cooperation

MERLION Co. Made a Presentation of New Acorp Modems and Summarized 10 Years of Cooperation.

On September, 22 in Netcity Internet-Cafe MERLION Co. made a presentation of new Acorp communication products: Sprinter@56K modems for dial-up access and Sprinter@ADSL ADSL modems.

MERLION public relations manager Shehovtsova Irina said that for today the share of Acorp products in the Russian dial-up modems market makes more than 30%. Acorp products take not less than 80% of the range of MERLION communication devices.

In the sales structure the ratio of external and internal modems for dial-up access makes from 42 to 58%. As to the type of connection modems with the PCI-port (58%) enjoy the greatest demand, 38% fall at models with COM port and 4% are modems with USB.

Alexey Kostrov, MERLION Co. brand-manager introduced a new line of Sprinter@56K modems for dial-up access as result of 2 years' teamwork of ACORP and MERLION directed at creating of a radically new product within the framework of Value Added Distribution Concept: a product completely adapted for Russia and a high level of service.

The main advantages of the renewed modems of Sprinter@56K Series became the use of micro programs, drivers and utilities adapted for Russia in product delivery package that essentially expand functionality of modems, allow better adapting for the existing quality of phone lines and holding connection in case of interferences. All models are supplied with a description in Russian.

Acorp Modems, ADSL Series were displayed by 5 models. All the spectrum of solutions: from organization of an individual network Internet access to the development of a wireless network with Internet access for small offices under Wi-Fi 802.11b technology and on 802.11g basis.

Acorp Sprinter@56K modems for dial-up access are already for sale. Acorp modems, ADSL Series, are expected at MERLION Companies' Warehouses within the nearest several weeks, and in the first quarter of 2005 Wireless and Bluetooth devices will broaden the range of Acorp communication devices.
