“Academy of Masters” from MERLION and Seagate

“Academy of Masters” is the event of a new “social time” format, visited by business partners and representatives of MERLION and Seagate together with their families.

It’ is neither rest nor work, neither a sport nor a party, though all these concepts make up a new interesting format of professional communication in the environment of the present and potential partners and business colleagues. In this format there is a space for wives, husbands, children, its “feeling” suggests both serious communication and acquaintance with partners’ activity and festive party, where ones can get to know and understand each other better.

The first event of the new format under the name “Academy of Masters” took place on one of April Saturday in Moscow pizza-restaurant and united business-partners and representatives of MERLION and Seagate companies, that came with their families and dived at once into the atmosphere of active holiday.

Before the start of the official part the master of ceremonies conducted a contest of short poems on the topic “Academy of Masters”. The best poem (the author is Alexander Medvedev, APIT) was awarded with a sweet prize. And then everyone was free to do what they got together for. And everyone chose what they desired.

For a start, to get to know each other better, the adults were given a chance to communicate with the colleagues, get to know Seagate company’s history, learn about the new products of this manufacturer. That’s why the Academy’s honored quests – representatives of Seagate company enjoyed special attention. Albert Tatulov was the first to deliver a review of Seagate external hard disks and multi-players. Kristina Savitskaya continued the business program, she told about the novelties and model range of Seagate internal hard disks. One could discuss the matters of marketing support with Olga Kozlova, Seagate’s marketing manager.

At the same time the children were busy with outdoor games under the guidance of masters, creating chocolate pictures and crafts from felt. Firstly, traditional things were used for creativity – paper, brushes and paints. And then the children had a chance to try a new part – to become artists on … chocolate! The picture of each child drawn with special paints on the white chocolate bar was accurately packed with the help of organizers of the workshop. Some of young authors demonstrated their creativity to the parents proudly, others prepared the surprise for the home folk. But no one resisted the temptation to taste their masterpieces after they were ready!

“Academy of Masters” from MERLION and SeagateThe adults jointed the activities of “Academy of Masters” after the official part with an undisguised pleasure. The ones who wished had a chance to become directors of cartoons, plasticine remakes of fairy-tales about Kolobok and Repka. The serious and respectable specialists as though having come back into the past, rushed to sculpt the familiar characters with an unbelievable passion. And then the ones gravitated towards directing (mostly managers) proceeded with direct creation of the animation clip. The parallel efforts of the representatives of two friendly companies with the help of sand gave birth to the logo of Seagate in the style of Sand Art. The same logo, made from plasticine, first acted in the role of repka and at the end of the film turned in the MERLION’s logo with the help of magic.

It was a real miracle – anyone who wished could feel themselves as a Russian tsar, a Spanish pirate, a magician, or a princess, for a minute. All the models could see the results of the photo session and could take the pictures home.

The event was completed with the demonstration of the “fresh-baked” plasticine cartoon, created by the representatives of the two companies and their partners. The plasticine masterpieces can be seen here.

The participants of the event were leaving the Academy with presents – kids got sets for modeling, and the adults – Italian wine and mugs with Seagate brand. But the most important thing, as both kids and adults admitted– everyone got the great mood and positive emotions, what is much more precious and durable.

Now you know what “social time” is – it is a chance to find the joy in communication with the ones who work near, and work with the same passion, as both children and adults love and can have fun.
