The first MERLION partner conference was held in Almaty

In the city of Almaty, the MERLION Company carried out a partner conference, during which it presented its ambitious plans for the development of IT-market of Kazakhstan and Central Asia.

В Алматы состоялась первая партнерская конференция MERLION The official subject of meeting with partners was opening a new MERLION office in Almaty. The biggest Russian IT-distributor is planning a serious expansion into the country’s market and is making large investments in the development of its representative office.

More than 70 partners, not only from Almaty, but also from many big cities around the country, attended the conference. The opening of the event was performed by Victoria Tarantina, director for business development in the CIS countries of the MERLION Company. Victoria told about distributor’s plans for the next years and presented the partner policy of the company. She also mentioned that the company is planning to become No. 1 in Kazakhstan.

At the conference there also participated and spoke vendors, which aim at developing the IT-market of the whole region together with MERLION. The vendor session was opened by representatives of NETGEAR Company – Denis Tyapaev, director for retail sales, and Sergey Vasiliev, representative for working with СИГ partners. They presented vendor’s retail products and also described NETGEAR partner policy. The official part was continued by Arman Bakhtybaev, training manager of the company Acer, who told about an extremely wide range of products of the manufacturer, their technical particularities and capabilities for consumers. Products of the company APC by Schneider Electric were presented by Kayrat Kassymbekov, a manager for working with retail partners, who told about the possibilities of cooperation with IT Business Schneider Electric Kazakhstan and a product range of the company. The session of presentations was closed by Nicolay Yarmush, manager for working with partners of the company Siemens Enterprise Communications. Nicolay told about business possibilities, which partners achieve as a result of working with the vendor, and also about plans of the company in Kazakhstan. Representatives of Intel and Seagate also made speeches for the participants of the conference.

The final part of the conference provided for informal communication of partners with the distributor and vendors in a banquet hall, accompanied by the sounds of live jazz. During open discussions many partners expressed a very intense interest to the possibilities, presented by the MERLION Company. Besides significant partner services, which can noticeably increase the efficiency of partner business, the offered product matrix turned out to be rather interesting.

The MERLION Company entered Kazakhstan market with a whole number of new brands, which can enlarge the partners’ product range and open new and profitable market segments for them. All participants of the conference appreciated the passed conference as a very efficient and useful event for the development of joint business in Kazakhstan.
