Sunshine! Cuba! MERLION!

On February 12-21, Cuba welcomed a real delegation. MERLION invited the winners of the ‘Cuba Holidays’, a big marketing program on media storages and consumables.

These 10-day holidays wrapped up almost half-a- year marketing marathon that lasted from August to October 2006. Almost all enthusiastic dealers, the partners of MERLION, took part in the impressive joint marketing program that was run by MERLION and its six vendors BenQ, Digitex, TDK, Verbatim, HP and Lomond.

The campaign had six stages. The best heroic dealers were selected based on the high points they scored for their purchases at each stage.

There were also some MERLION, Digitex and Verbatim officials among those forty victorious Cuba holidaymakers.

The trip had a varied itinerary: Varadero, Cayo Largo, Havana and others. There were guided tours, a lot of excitement and certainly a formal part. The conference welcomed the following speakers:

• Anna Sadofyeva, Digitex sales manager with her presentation ‘Digitex: Company, Product Portfolio, Prospects ’
• Alexander Zhazhkov, strategic planning and marketing manager of Verbatim with his presentation ‘Verbatim. News. 2007 ’
• Natalya Zontova, vendor manager of MERLION with her presentation ‘Development Strategy for Commercial Sales Channel of HP original consumables’
• Alexander Kornveits, MERLION product manager with his presentation ‘BenQ, TDK Data storage. Lomond consumables.’

The formal part of the conference finished with a question and answer session. The attendees could discuss some relevant issues and prospects for further cooperation.

A conference – even a very important one - has its informal part with entertainment activities and this is equally enjoyable for its attendees. This time the informal part was especially exciting. The tourists set off for a great adventure to the world famous holiday resort in Cuba, Varadero, capital city Havana and Cayo Largo island that lies in the very heart of the Caribbean. They also sailed to the Atlantic island of Cayo Blanco, visited Indian village Guama and its crocodile farm and were shown around Havana.

A ceremony dinner wrapped up the amazing Cuba holidays. The holidaymakers dined out in one of the best Havana restaurants, the legendary Floridita. It was Hemingway’s favorite restaurant.
