The second season of the All-Russian championship in bowling among MERLION partners was opened in Ekaterinburg. The first qualifying competition was held with the support rendered by Microsoft.

We would like to remind that, MERLION CUP is a special format of meetings of MERLION Company with its regional partners. The championship is held in all Russian regions, it contains a mandatory part of the official reports and presentations, and thus increasing a range of participants of the partner conferences organized by MERLION. The first season of the Championship was held in March and November 2010, the competition was attended by approximately 300 partners.
In the new season, the Championship started in Ekaterinburg, and the qualification competition will be held in the following cities: Kazan, Krasnodar, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Orenburg. MERLION CUP'2011 super finale will be held in November 2011 in Moscow.
Thus, the championship MERLION CUP `2011 has been opened!
50 participants of the Championship that have come together in Ekaterinburg started their meeting with the official part. It was opened by Tatyana Orlova, MERLION Marketing Director. In her presentation "MERLION - the way to success!" she told about the company's outcomes achieved in 2010, the success and achievements. She outlined the strategic direction of the company's business and announced plans for the current year; at the end she showed a bright video clip about the first season of MERLION CUP `2010. It was a pleasant surprise for all the participants.
The working part of the event was continued by the representative of Microsoft - Andrey Borisov, OEM Partner Relationship Manager. His speech "Windows Server in FY11: SMB market research, product line, sales scripts" Andrey started with the trends description and noted that an increase in the supply of entry-level servers has been observed. He gave several interesting examples on the results of SMB market research. Also he answered completely the questions "How to tell customers about the benefits of the first server" and "About the benefits to transfer the new server version. He mentioned a number of facts, why every company needs Active Directory.
The working part of the meeting was short, but very productive. The partners closely communicated with the representatives of the MERLION company, and with the representatives of Microsoft. A lot of pressing questions were asked, and that is especially valuable, the answers were given from "the first hands".
And after that...
…... Dressed in a bowling uniform, the teams took their tracks. In this case, the most punctual companies - teams got the right to select a track in the first turn. The teams chose their names (it should be noted, teams’ names were very creative) and began the crazy heat competitions.
After a while, according to the results of two phases of the games, the balance of forces was determined and the first finalist Super Final MERLION CUP `2011 was defined.
Here it comes! The team “Typhoon” has passed to the Super Final that will be held in Moscow in November 2011.
