The event was held on the territory of a new CITILINK computer discounter (www.citilink.ru), the official retail project of MERLION. In a specially equipped presentation hall the vendor companies’ representatives offered their new products and answered questions of the workshop participants.

All presentations provoked interest with the audience and were discussed with enthusiasm.

Alexey Nechuyatov, Dell Enterprise Solutions Promotion Manager, gave a full review of the latest Dell PowerEdge 11G servers line, informed of its development strategy in 2009, and gave a range of interesting analytical data. He noted that within the next 3 years corporate data scope will be 50 times as much, and in 10 years the number of servers will be 4 times as many (Source: IDC reports). In addition, the presentation of A. Nechuyatov contained information on successful technical interaction of Dell PowerEdge servers with recently announced Intel Nehalem processors. About them the audience was informed in detail by Alexey Rogachkov, Regional Specialist in Intel Products Introduction. Then spoke Vladimir Gramchuk, Microsoft OEM Partners Support Specialist, who spoke about new possibilities and licensing of Windows Server 2008 (Windows SBS 2008, Windows EBS 2008).

After the business part of the workshop was completed, the participants were invited to a reception standing and a pleasant surprise – CITILINK Club Card enabling its holders to buy technical devices at best prices, collect bonuses and participate in the events organized by the company.

MERLION plans to continue to support its partners both in commercial and technical questions. For that purpose such workshops will be held regularly, since now MERLION has a perfect place of its own for such events, the CITILINK Presentation Hall.
