Gala night: Dell and MERLION summed up the annual results

On February 17, 2011, one of Moscow’s oldest entertainment facilities, the famous Central Moscow Hippodrome, hosted a joint event of Dell and MERLION during which representatives of American corporation Dell in Russia summed up the results of the past year and outlined the prospects for mutual cooperation with MERLION’s partners in the next year. Directors of Dell and top managers of MERLION greeted the guests of the evening. Oleg Zhukov, Director General of Dell Russia, read a welcome address to the guests on behalf of the corporation.

Representatives of Dell’s two departments (Dell Commercial and Dell Consumer) gave joint presentations with a comprehensive overview of the company’s products and solutions and outlined important aspects of Dell’s partnership program. Thus, Artem Geniyev, corporate product manager, gave an overview of the latest makes of servers and data storage systems, while Denis Minov, product manager of Dell CSMB, presented the innovations in Dell’s consumer department: Dell Inspiron Duo, which is already available at MERLION’s warehouse, and tablet computer Dell Streak 7”, which is to be received in May 2011.

Programs for partners in different segments of the channel were presented by Sergey Savin and Alexandr Morozov. In his speech, Sergey Savin emphasized the main features of Dell Partner Direct program and announced to the guests the key advantages of the new program for Dell Commercial. Alexandr Morozov, head of distinguished partners department of Dell Dell CSMB, spoke about the partnership program of Dell Consumer.

Further, representatives of Dell presented special prizes (glass horseshoes) to the best MERLION partners and gave out memorial plates for significant business merits.

After the official part of the event and summing up the annual results, the guests could enjoy the beauty and grace of race horses from the famous Central Moscow Hippodrome and the skill of professional jockeys. The Central Moscow Hippodrome is one of Russia’s largest hippodromes and the oldest one in Europe (it was founded in 1834). Apart from its designated purpose, the Moscow Hippodrome serves as an experimental base for All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Horse Breeding. There is also a riding school at the Hippodrome. The most serious prizes, including the Grand All-Russian Prize (Derby), the All-Russian prize “Bars”, prizes “Elita”, “Pion”, “Grand Open” prize for mares, prize of the Central Moscow Hippodrome and other prestigious awards, are up for grabs at the Moscow Hippodrome nowadays.

Thoroughbred racehorses ran several laps accompanied by loud applause. After that, a festive meal was served in the main hall of “Royal Hall” restaurant where guests raised their glasses to successful mutual cooperation of Dell and MERLION and spoke warmly of the organizers of such a grand event.
