Yekaterinburg hosts MERLION Business Channel

On May 27, 2009 MERLION Business Channel conference took place in Yekaterinburg and united 74 partners from Urals Federal District, top managers of MERLION Company, and representatives of computer technologies major suppliers.

Global leaders of IT market, such as AMD, ASUS, LG, Microsoft, Sapphire and Seagate made presentations and introduced new products of 2009. The forum program in Yekaterinburg comprised several business blocks: presentations dedicated to partners’ programs, last year results’ summary, and summary of the company development strategy in the Russian market; round tables and individual meetings in the course of which partners could discuss up-to-date issues on joint business development with MERLION Company executives and vendors’ representatives.

The Yekaterinburg MBC conference was opened by Sergey Raskolov, MERLION Sales Director. His report “Business under special conditions: Think Globally, Act Locally” was dedicated to business development in the complicated circumstances of the global financial and economic crisis.

The forum continued with the report by Radik Nurgaliev, LG IT Partners Manager, entitled “LG Monitors: Market Position and Development Directions”. His presentation gave a comprehensive image of LG monitors’ advantages and introduced the newest products to MERLION partners.

Tatyana Ostroukhova, ASUS Sales Representative, made a presentation on “Results of 2008 and Development Prospects”. ASUS Company report was dedicated to ASUS K Series Notebooks, a foremost model of a new line. This series has been sold in Russia since May 2009 and is characterized by a bright design and perfect technical characteristics based on the newest technologies. The partners learnt about each model specification and were fully informed of the notebooks capacities. The ASUS Partner Program was also presented to the attendees. Authorized partners of ASUS have access to a large set of advantages: an authorized dealer certificate, partners’ portal access, placement on ASUS web-site, marketing programs participation, etc.

Artem Holodok, Seagate Key Integrators Manager, reported on “Seagate Corporate Partner Program and Product Line Review”. In his presentation A. Holodok gave detailed information on a broad product line and partner programs of Seagate for the current year. Then, the forum was continued by Dmitry Yugas, PC Manufacturers (Microsoft) Manager. In the course of his report “How to sell MLK Office 2007 along with Office Ready PC” he told why and how MS partners profit more with MS program packages. A joint marketing program of MERLION and Microsoft: “Your MLK is a lead to mobility and success with Microsoft!” was announced at the conference. Alena Andrianova, Sapphire Russia, Ukraine and CIS Business Development Manager, made her presentation called “Sapphire: A Time of New Opportunities”. In her report A. Andrianova spoke of principal advantages of Sapphire graphic and system cards, and announced new models of video and system cards based on AMD processors. The presentations block was closed by Anatoly Martynov, AMD Distributors Manager, who reported on “New Age of Digital Technologies with AMD”.

After the reports the partners met at a round table, and also discussed important issues on cooperation during individual meetings with MERLION executives and vendors’ representatives.

At the end of the Yekaterinburg Forum the guests were invited to a reception standing and could have pleasant time with IT business colleagues.
