November 23, 2005 the EPoX Computer Company and MERLION summed up the joint Planet EPoX marketing programme. Its seventy six finalists got a chance to win the first prize – the two MAZDA 6 cars.

On November the 23rd the Metelitsa Entertainment Center hosted an EPoX championship for female wresting where the EPoX Computer Co. and MERLION Co. as well as seventy six dealers from and out of Moscow summed up the Planet EPoX marketing programme.

The Planet EPoX programme took place between August 1 and October 1, 2005 with a hundred and twenty five computer companies throughout Russia taken part in it. According to the programme once you’ve purchased an EPoX mainboard, you win points. MB EPoX Socket-939 as well as MB EPoX Socket-775 gives you three points, MB EPoX Socket-754 - two points, MB EPoX Socket-A and MB EPoX – a point. To get to the final those taking part in the programme had to score 699 points. As a result seventy six companies made it to the final. There were fourteen Moscow partners of MERLION among them and the others were regional ones. They all enjoyed the chance to take part in the lottery the first prizes of which were the two Mazda 6 cars. Babylon, a computer store chain in Chita, and Format ltd. in Orenburg carried off the prizes. The programme showed its best ten regional and ten Moscow members that won quite a number of points and were awarded with such valuable prizes as a Philips LCD television, Panasonic video camera, Dell notebook and pocket PC, Canon cameras, a Philips portable DVD player and HP pocket PC. An EPoX Computer Authorized dealer 2005-2006 certificates went to a hundred top ranked companies.

During the formal part of the event the EPoX Computer officials such as EPoX President Mr. Anthony Hu and the Vice President of the R&D Department Mr. Thomas Huang reported about the strategic prospects of the company for the coming year and answered the questions the Russian IT press and the MERLION partners posed to them. N. Danilov, a specialist of the MERLION Technical Support Center provided the programme’s finalists with the information about the new EPoX Computer products. There were 2 models of EPoX mainboard shown to them. Those were EPoX 8NPA SLI and 5P945-J. (See below for further information)

About New EPoX Products
The mainboard EPoX 8NPA SLI is built on the nForce4 SLI chipset. It has two 184-pin DIMM sockets to support DDR 333/400. The maximum system memory capacity is 2 GB. The new mainboard offers a Serial ATA II controller with up to 3 Gbps bandwidth (with support for 4 devices), ATA 66/100/133 controller with support for 4 devices, 6-CH (5.1) audio CODEC, Gigabit Ethernet LAN controller and the hardware firewall, ActiveArmor. The mainboard provides two PCI-Express connectors.
The Mainboard EPoX 5P945-J has the 8-CH audio HDA, four Serial ATA II ports and four DDR 400/667 slots. It supports Intel® Pentium 5xx, 6xx as well as Pentium D. The new mainboard features an embedded Gigabit Ethernet LAN, two PCI-Express SLI connectors one of which PCI-Express 16x functions through the ICH7 southbridge.
