The Vendor’s and the Distributor’s experts exchanged their views on the key trends in the “heavy” IT-solutions sector.
MERLION and Hewlett Packard Enterprise held a joint event in which the Distributor and the Vendor experts, along with CONTEX analysts, assessed the current state and the main trends of the complex IT solutions market.
Viktor Ivanov, Head of CONTEXT Russia, shared his analysis of sales of server-based solutions and data storage systems in Russia, in several European countries and post-Soviet states and his opinion concerning the impact of FX rates and other key factors upon the sales trends and the demand for such IT solutions. The expert also presented TOP-10 bestselling server models for 2013, 2014 and 2015.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise and MERLION specialists spoke about the specifics of HP server and data storage systems sales and about new ways of supporting their partners which the Vendor and the Distributor are going to implement. In particular, details of the HPE Financial Services financing program were described.
The event participants and MERLION experts discussed various options available for the Distributor’s partners and their customers which include a very wide scope of services that range from solution designing and hardware customization to deploying complex hardware-software systems, upgrading and servicing the customers’ IT infrastructure.
The event was held in an unusual, festive atmosphere of a carnival which annually takes place in the global jazz capital, New Orleans. Business-speakers’ reports interchanged with impressive stage performances - those of the famous Classy Jazz band and the Maracatu Show drummers.
