GIGABYTE-MERLION-ROCK’N’ROLL

May 17, 2006, the Molodaya Gvardia Entertainment center – GIGABYTE and MERLION announced the results of the joint marketing campaign named “GIGABYTE: a Run of Good Luck”. A brand-new Lexus IS250 goes to Yury Misharin from the IP Romashova Company in Ekaterinburg.

On May 17, MERLION held a closing ceremony in the Molodaya Gvardia Entertainment center to mark the GIGABYTE: A Run of Good Luck marketing campaign that run in the company between February 15 and April 15, 2006.

More than 700 computer companies from various Russian regions took part in the campaign. Seventy-six companies made it to the final. These include sixteen Moscow and sixty regional companies. First prize of the campaign was Lexus IS250.

According to the campaign, once you’ve purchased a GIGABYTE product, you win points.
MB GIGABYTE Socket 775 gives you 3 points. So does MB GIGABYTE Socket 939. MB GIGABYTE Socket 754 as well as VGA GIGABYTE PCI-E - 2 points, MB GIGABYTE Socket 478 and VGA GIGABYTE AGP – 1 points.

To get to the final those taking part in the campaign had to score 1000 points.

As a result, all the participants with no less than 1000 points were awarded an authorized GIGABYTE dealer certificate.

Yury Misharin from in Ekaterinburg was lucky to have carried off first prize. Now he drives a new Lexus IS250.

The ten best regional and ten best Moscow participants were awarded such valuable prizes as LG desktops, Panasonic Plasma TV, Sony monitors, HP pocket PCs, I-mate smartphones and others. A brand-new Lexus IS250 went to Yury Misharin from the IP Romashova Company in Ekaterinburg.

As usual, all the Russian representatives of GIGABYTE joined the campaign.

In the GIGABYTE Smart Future Technologies presentation Mrs. Tatyana Lysanova, GIGABYTE sales officer, showed new GIGABYTE products. These included new S-series motherboards for AMD platform, G1-Turbo series motherboards for Intel platform, complex solutions for game platforms, GIGABYTE graphics accelerators and coolers.

The GIGABYTE officials, Mr. Sinclair Hsiao, Marketing and Sales Manager in Europe, and his Deputy, Mr. Cooke Huang, reported about strategic prospects for the company and answered to the questions MERLION dealers and the Russian press posed to them.

When the formal part of the ceremony was over, everybody could enjoy an exhilarating show in the style of Rock’n’Roll, CIGABYTE: a Run of Good Luck price giving ceremony featuring the first prize winner, and the brilliant performance of the Russian pop-star Valery Suytkin.
MERLION partners could meet vendors and their IT-business colleagues in an informal atmosphere.

In his comments on the outcome of the campaign, Vadim Yarotsky, Deputy General Manager for Strategic Planning and Marketing, emphasized, “MERLION has been very successful in its promotion of GIGABYTE onto the Russian market for 9 years.
