After that, the guests were offered to take part in an exciting master class on sushi making. Can anyone resist such a unique opportunity? Definitely not. The chef of “Daikon”, together with sushi chefs from the far sunny Thailand, showed and explained to the guests the basic techniques for making this light and delicious Japanese dish.

Sushi, as is well known, is a traditional dish in the Japanese cuisine, which is cooked of round rice boiled as per the specific technique with addition of rice vinegar, and of various seafood, vegetables and other ingredients. Starting somewhere in the 80s of the 20th century, sushi became popular not only in the South-East Asia and Japan, but all over the world. Sushi is a light and low-calorie dish which has a positive effect on human metabolism. The guests of the seminar, guided by delicate chefs from “Daikon”, demonstrated their first sushi to the audience. The best works were assessed by a strict panel of judges and winners were awarded special prizes, based on the master class results.

In addition, the guests had a chance to demonstrate their literary talents – the presenter asked the participants to compose poetry pieces. Authors of the most promising works received lovely presents.

After the interesting and informative sushi master class and the poetry contest, MERLION’s partners had a festive dinner in the pleasant company of IT business colleagues.
