Pistol club: INTEL and MERLIONOn February 18, 2011, MERLION’s partners attended a seminar organized by INTEL in the Moscow. The seminar participants had a unique opportunity to learn the latest news about the products of INTEL, a leading world manufacturer of innovative semiconductor components, and to practice their shooting skills.

The seminar of INTEL and MERLION began with a welcome buffet: partners were offered drinks and desserts. Within the framework of the official part of the event, INTEL’s representative Dmitriy Letichevskiy presented a small report to the guests and spoke about new products and achievements of INTEL. Mr. Letichevskiy dwelled on 2nd generation processors Intel® Core™ which provide high productivity and integrated graphic effects for a notably higher quality of operation. Dmitriy Letichevskiy also presented new processors for laptops, netbooks and desktops to the partners.

After the official part of the event, the guests could expect an exciting evening. The seminar participants were divided into three teams which chose their captains and tried their luck in target shooting. The teams took turns to shoot from such guns as IZh-71 and PKSK in the interactive gallery and from rifled carbine Saiga-MK03 (similar to the Kalashnikov gun with a short barrel) and SKS (Simonov semiautomatic carbine) in the 40-meter gallery. The interactive gallery was exciting because shooters had to aim at virtual targets and moving objects, while in the shooting gallery the guests aimed at classical paper targets.

Pistol club: INTEL and MERLIONPrior to the start of the shooting competition, each group had been thoroughly instructed as to safety rules and peculiarities of the guns. An experienced instructor accompanied the seminar participants at all times during the competition. In addition, each shooter was equipped with special shooting earmuffs. Sportsmen engaged in shooting always use special equipment to protect their ears.

After the competition was over, the guests of the seminar shared their impressions during a festive meal. The best shooters received memorable prizes and certificates of “Khischnik” pistol club. Ladies also tried their luck in the shooting sport: the best lady shooter received a chocolate gun. Those participants who could not demonstrate impressive results in shooting, also received some presents – darts sets for further practice. The event participants admitted that the evening passed in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
