IT`Forum`2013 Russia: from Minsk to Irkutsk

Another season of meetings has ended, which are annually organized by MERLION for its partners, featuring leading global manufacturers.

A number of regional partner meetings IT’Forum`2013 Russia after the start on the 21st June in Irkutsk continued on the 5th July in Minsk, and by visiting another four Russian cities, ended on the 1st November in Krasnoyarsk.

MERLION organizes annually events for its partners by featuring leading global manufacturers, but under the name IT’Forum Russia – it is held for the first time. The framework of the Forum supposes an opportunity for a most direct and open conversation of all participants of the market (vendors – distributors – partners). The objective of the event is to increase the confidence between the partners in regions, to discuss the features of local markets, as well as to elaborate plans of effective collaboration from the three parties. Current partners of MERLION, as well as potential ones, take part in the events. But for effective information sharing the framework of the meeting supposes a rather small number of participants – less than fifty in each city.

The meeting program in each city is individual, but the common idea for all events is to organize the Forum in a casual and sympathetic atmosphere (in the country, with an obligatory entertainment program). The official part includes the presentation of the representatives from MERLION and the vendors, as well as business discussions in informal settings.

This season the IT’Forum`2013 Russia was held in seven cities: Irkutsk, Minsk, Rostov-on-Don, Yekaterinburg, Samara, Nizhny Novgorod and Krasnoyarsk. The first meeting, which took place in Irkutsk, we have already in details described, this report includes a brief summary about the other six cities.


IT`Forum`2013 Russia: from Minsk to Irkutsk Minsk. 5-7th of July

In the official part of the Forum in Minsk, after the opening remarks from the representative of MERLION, the following persons made their reports:

Alexei Zverev, the AMD Regional Representative in the Northwestern Federal District: “The newest AMD mobile platforms – everything is possible!

Alexei Stepanov, Sales Head of the Russia/CIS Department in Mitac: “Mio Technology: from nation-wide retail to a wide sales channel”.

Alexei Morozov, the Powercom Distribution Manager: “New approaches, new products and basic values”.

The informal part in Minsk was very intensive – helicopter and motor ship rides, barbecue, fishing, water skiing and jet skiing. Good work – good rest!


IT`Forum`2013 Russia: from Minsk to Irkutsk Rostov-on-Don. 29th of August

The official part of the Forum in Rostov-on-Don started with the speech of the representative from MERLION and continued with a number of presentations from representatives of other manufacturing companies:

Alexei Stepanov, Sales Head of the Russia/CIS Department in Mitac has told in his presentation “Mio Technology: new perspectives” about the MiVue video recorders – about the universal waterproof M300 model and about the R25 video recorder, embedded into the rear view mirror.

Konstantin Kuznetsov, Business Development Manager in Acer (commercial PCs) have made a report “Commercial products of Acer. News, trends and opportunities for partners”.

Eugene Shurov, Thermaltake Sales Manager, has presented to the audience the “New products of the Thermaltake company”.

Elena Zarubina, Sales and Marketing Manager of Sapphire in Russia and Ukraine told about the market perspectives of video cards: “The future of graphics. Trends and forecasts”.

Tatiana Hatskevitch, the Representative from the Crucial company, has made a presentation “Perspectives of 2013: Crucial product line, DRAM/SSD market development”.

Denis Ziborov, the Regional Representative of AMD in the South region of Russia, has in details highlighted the “AMD 2012 Mobile platforms”.

After the official part everyone could enjoin entertainments outdoors, including even archery and crossbow shooting. All targets were hit!


IT`Forum`2013 Russia: from Minsk to Irkutsk Yekaterinburg. 20th of September

In Yekaterinburg, after the opening speech of the organizer of the IT’Forum`2013 from MERLION, the following participants of the Forum made their reports:

Eugene Yanovsky, the Sales Director from Powercom, with the presentation “New products. New approaches in the work with partners”.

Alexei Stepanov, Sales Head of the Russia/CIS Department in Mitac has told in his presentation “Mio Technology: new perspectives” about the MiVue video recorders – about the universal waterproof M300 model and about the R25 video recorder, embedded into the rear view mirror.

Elena Zarubina, Sales and Marketing Manager of Sapphire in Russia and Ukraine told about the market perspectives of video cards: “The future of graphics. Trends and forecasts”.

After all presentations, discussions and round tables the participants were divided into teams and played the modern mock battles, i.e. paintball. No injured and killed this time!


IT`Forum`2013 Russia: from Minsk to Irkutsk Samara. 25th of September

The Forum in Samara was traditionally opened with a presentation from MERLION. Then the word was given to the representatives of the vendor companies.

Denis Gusiatsky, Regional Representative of Intel, made a presentation “Business growth direction with Intel in 2013”.
Alexander Bogdanov, Regional Manager of ViewSonic (Privolzhsky Federal District, Northwestern region) has presented the “Best from three worlds – monitors, projectors and commercial panels from ViewSonic”.

Denis Kiselev, Partner Relationship Manager from Powercom, has told about “New products and checked solutions”, in particular about the uninterrupted power supply systems: from backup UPS for personal computers up to the uninterrupted power supply with double conversion of energy for server, network and other computing and telecommunication equipment.

Egor Petrov,Partner Relationship Manager from Dell, presented to the audience all opportunities and advantages of the “Dell partner program”.

Ali Auhadeev, Corporate Business Development Director of Dell in the Privolzhsky Federal District has highlighted in details the “Technological advantages of Dell solutions”.

After the conclusion of the official part within the entertainment program outdoors, everybody was happy to shoot from the bow and crossbow, to throw axes and to ride on jeeps. And all of these were a male preserve!


IT`Forum`2013 Russia: from Minsk to Irkutsk Nizhny Novgorod. 25th of October

The official part of the IT’Forum`2013 in Nizhny Novgorod, apart from the presentation from MERLION, included presentations from the representatives of the Acer, Mitac, AOC, Sapphire companies.

Konstantin Kuznetsov, Business Development Manager in Acer (commercial PCs) has made a report “Acer. Commercial products for the corporate market”.

Andrei Samoilov, Business Development Manager of Philips and АОС in Russia, highlighted all benefits and advantages of AOC monitors in his presentation “Our objective is – perfect monitors”.

Elena Zarubina, Sales and Marketing Manager of Sapphire in Russia and Ukraine presented “The new generation of Sapphire graphic cards”.

The socializing of the participants of the Forum included outdoor activities. Thrilling paintball battles and quad biking were a pleasant conclusion of the working day!


IT`Forum`2013 Russia: from Minsk to Irkutsk Krasnoyarsk. 31st of October and 1 November

The final partner meeting of this season was held in Krasnoyarsk. After the opening speech from the representative of MERLION the vendors made their presentations.

  • Eugene Shurov, Thermaltake Sales Manager, have presented to the audience the “New products of the Thermaltake company”.
  • Konstantin Kuznetsov, Business Development Manager in Acer (commercial PCs) has made a report “Acer. Commercial products for the corporate market”.
  • Anton Shaporov, Retail Sales Manager of Microsoft on the Krasnoyarsk Territory and in Khakassia, told about Device Incentives Program”.
  • Andrei Samoilov, Business Development Manager of Philips and АОС in Russia, highlighted all benefits and advantages of AOC monitors in his presentation “Our objective is – perfect monitors”.
  • Eugene Klemin, Business Development Manager of Brother has told in details about the printing equipment of this manufacturer and presented to the audience the “New model range of available and reliable printers and multifunctional devices from Brother”.

The official part of the event in Krasnoyarsk was continued by business discussions in informal surroundings, and in conclusion the guests could enjoy the ceremonial gala dinner with delicious food and pleasant background music played by the cover band.
