On October 15 this year the field conference “MERLION Road Map” took place in Krasnodar. 40 representatives of the largest IT companies of Krasnodar Territory visited the event and obtained the most actual information on the condition and development of the IT market of Russia.
This time the conference “MERLION Road Map” took place in Krasnodar. Partners of the Southern Federal District had an opportunity to meet representatives of world computer equipment suppliers - Gigaset, GIGABYTE, Intel, Microsoft, Samsung. Moreover, MERLION key top managers were available for communication.

By tradition the conference “MERLION Road Map” was opened by MERLION Sales Director Sergey Raskolov. In his report S. Raskolov made a short review of the Russian IT market, shared the plans for future with the partners and presented new projects.

Then Anna Sadofyeva, Gigaset Sales Manager, continued the forum with the report “Gigaset Communications: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow”. A. Sadofyeva told the partners about Gigaset, introduced the variety of the manufacturer’s products to the forum members and stressed that Gigaset was a leader at DECT telephony market in Europe.
Dmitry Zakharchenko, GIGABYTE Regional Representative in the Ural Federal District, made the presentation “GIGABYTE – innovations and quality” in which he announced new high-technology products of the manufacturer – motherboards, graphics cards, laptops, etc. Moreover, in his report D. Zakharchenko went in detail on innovation techniques which were successfully applied in GIGABYTE products. Boris Chen, GIGABYTE Technology Head of the Russian Representative Office, and Veronika Lu, GIGABYTE Sales and Marketing Manager in Russia and Europe, were present at the conference in Ufa and were available for communication with partners that day. The conference was continued by Aleksandr Voskresensky, Senior Specialist for the Product of the Samsung Information Technologies Department, with the presentation “Tendencies at Samsung Monitor Market”. From his speech the partners learnt that Samsung monitors implied high image quality, well thought-out and stylish design, ultra-thin case and optimal price. A. Voskresensky announced an update of the popular series of Samsung monitors and introduced other interesting innovations: line of monitors with the TV tuner which may be deemed as an adequate substitute of the TV set.

Then Ilya Zhulyabin, Intel Representative in the Southern Federal District, made the report “News of Intel Corporation”. In his presentation I. Zhulyabin made a short review of the market and proceeded to advantages of products based on the new microarchitecture of Nehalem.
Oleg Titov, Microsoft Regional Representative in Krasnodar Territory, closed the presentations block with the report “Windows 7. New Opportunities”. In his report O. Titov compared the popular operating systems of the producer: Windows XP, Windows Vista and the new operating system – Windows 7. O. Titov went in detail on advantages of the new operating system and answered questions of the forum members.

After that the forum visitors continued their communication at individual meetings with MERLION managers and vendors’ representatives. Within the framework of the seminar a special demo zone was organized at which partners could assess announced products. In the entertaining part of the event the billiard tournament awaited conference visitors.
