MBC in Hungary, new horizons of collaboration

At September 21-25th regular MERLION Business Channel partners’ forum was hold by company MERLION at sunny and hospitable Hungary. As many as 96 partners from Far Eastern, Privolzhsky, Siberian, Uralsky and Southern federal districts of Russian Federation attended the forum.

This eastern European country greeted the participants of MERLION Business Channel partners’ forum by bright sun and soft warm weather. The change of climate was really striking after sleety and windy Russian fall. But this is the primary goal of such forums to inspire participants with sensation and longing for changes for the better regarding such subjects as relations with partners, vendors and business colleagues, understanding up-to-date IT trends and innovations, and sense of development direction of their company.

Numerous participants of the forum (as many as 96 representatives of 90 leading Russian IT companies), MERLION staff members, and representatives of leading computer equipment companies such as Acer, APC, HP, LG, MSI, Panasonic arrived in Budapest at September 21st to spend four unforgettable days in one go, as united team.

Participants of the forum were settled at SPA hotel, Danubius Health Spa Resort Helia*, located in few minutes of drawing from the center of city, in green Budapest borough, at the bank of the Danube. The own thermal springs of the hotel helped washing away the road dust and to tune to new communication format.

Sergey Raskolov, MERLION sales director, told about MERLION structure and its development strategy;
Radik Nurgaleyev, LG IT partner relations manager, introduced presentation “LG monitors as future technology”;
Natalya Pozhidayeva, head of partner relation direction at APC company, introduced presentation “APC-MGE today, new program”;
Alexey Chernov, head of partner relations direction at HP company, introduced presentation “Print devices’ market tendencies. HP partners politics”;
Alexey Knyazev, MSI business development manager, introduced presentation “MSI products”;
Denis Kutnikov, director of ACER retail direction, introduced presentation “Acer products. Partnership programs”;
Nadezhda Grusovskaya, Panasonic photo and video equipment sales manager, introduced presentation “New products in photo and video cameras line”

Radik Nurgaleyev, LG IT partner relations managerIt was more appropriate to call entertainment part of this forum as ‘culture program’ as Hungary is extraordinary reach with historical and architectural sites. Budapest, the capital of Hungary, is often called ‘Paris of Eastern Europe’ due to its wealthy of architectural sights. Participants of the forum visited Fortress area, Palace of the King, Fisherman's bastion, Heroes’ square, had a chance to contemplate one of the most beautiful buildings of the city, Parliament. Nobody was left indifferent after cruise along the Blue Danube evoking the feeling of romantic charm and casting the musical mood throughout the ages.

But there were serious tests before the participants under the field conditions, team plays at town of Vishegrad, the one of the most beautiful summer residences of King which had no analogs in beauty and grandeur in medieval Europe. This team competitions added special drive to the tour. Participants were to demonstrate their great power, smartness, alertness, quick reaction and keenness of wit while going through all steps of team competitions including quadracycle drawing, rope-way descent, provision of the necessary facilities of tourist ramp, and climbing trees.

Завершающим аккордом форума стал гала-ужин. Он состоялся на корабле, с палубы которого открывается живописный вид на реку и просторные оживленные набережные Будапешта, звучащие карпатскими мелодиями уличных музыкантов и залитые радужными лучами заходящего солнца.

The final pattern of the forum was gala dinner. It was organized on the ship with picturesque view on the river and spacious vivid quay of Budapest filled with Carpathian melodies played by street musicians and covered with the rays of sun going down.

Vladimir Nechaev, commercial manager of MERLION, shared with us his thoughts concerning the value of forum for its participants. “As about me, the main goal of the trip was to conduct the informal individual meetings with partners. Many things could be revealed throughout such a personal meeting which is impossible in the course of phone talks or by formal language of e-mail messages. In order to do an offer really interesting for a partner, it is essential to understand to the great extent partner’s business and specific features of his tasks. The result of such agreements is always mutually beneficial if both sides fulfill the conditions of agreement, of course. Constructive criticism is the necessary feedback with partner which is turning us to the new direction of business development. We appreciate everybody who is ready to try something new with us, to change, seek the new, even may be unreachable goals”.

Participants of forum become friends throughout the trip parted with obvious regret. But we do not say goodbye, as there is new joint work in future, new achievements and new MERLION conferences in the most beautiful corners of the Earth.
