The event for partners from Saint-Petersburg and the areas around the Northern Capital was organized in Zelenogorsk.
Two separate sessions were conducted on June 20-21, 2013 within the scope of a single Forum under the auspices of MERLION. Each session was attended by representatives of vendors, as well as the organizer’s current and potential partners from Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad Region.
One of the sessions was fully devoted to system integrators. The key topics of this conference part included Enterprise equipment and software. The session was opened with a small introductory speech by MERLION’s sales department representative. Later, the participants listened attentively to the speech by Pavel Chuzhmarov, Microsoft Technologies Consultant, who spoke about the new products in the MS Office 365 family and OS Windows Intune for portable gadgets.
The series of vendor presentations was continued by German Smagin, Distributor and International Manufacturer Manager representing AMD. He told the audience about the state-of-the-art solutions for portable devices (presentation ‘Innovative Mobile Platforms from AMD – Everything Is Possible!’). Denis Makashov, Fujitsu’s Partner Manager, presented his report ‘Fujitsu’s Partner Policy. Working in Team with the Vendor’. To wrap up the session, Laptop Product Manager Svetlana Yakovleva spoke about the Lenovo ThinkPad product series.
The main topics of the second session, which was also held within the framework of the Forum in Zelenogorsk, included ‘IT Products’ and ‘Household Appliances and Consumer Electronics’. Here, the opening speech was made on behalf of MERLION by a representative of the company’s Full-Range Distribution Department (FRDD). During this part of the conference, such speakers as Svetlana Yakovleva (Lenovo), Pavel Chuzhmarov (Microsoft) and German Smagin (AMD) made presentations of new solutions in the IT sphere. A detailed report entitled ‘Jet Printers and Consumables from Canon – Inspiring the Result’ was presented by Yekaterina Ananyina, Senior Manager of Key Accounts of the above company.
In addition to the speeches, the Forum included personal meetings of MERLION representatives and vendors with partners. After the official part was completed, the guests attended a gala dinner, while on the following day they had a chance to communicate in a friendly, casual atmosphere during a barbecue organized outside.
