At the beginning of April this year the second meeting of partners in the frameworks of bowling-club MERLION for regional system integrators of Russia took place in Novosibirsk. The event took place under the auspices of the world largest manufacturers of computer hardware – DELL, Intel and Microsoft.

After successful completion of the first All-Russia bowling tournament among MERLION partners CUP’2010 MERLION decided to organize an independent bowling tournament for regional system integrators of Russia, which will take place in different cities of the RF in 2011. The first meeting of MERLION bowling-club for integrators took place in Yekaterinburg at the beginning of March, and on April, 7 this year Novosibirsk’s system integrators hosted the tournament in their city. The second tour of bowling-club was supported by DELL, Intel and Microsoft.
MERLION’s partners that got together at the club’s meeting took the chance to discuss the important business matters with the representatives of MERLION and vendors. Chief of MERLION’s regional sales department Dmitry Pivovarov opened the meeting of bowling-club. Then Denis Lazutkin, MERLION’s business development manager made a presentation «MERLION: with the leader - for success!». He spoke about the company’s results in 2010, prospects of development and plans for the future.
The meeting was continued by the vendors’ representatives:
- Alexey Zheltkov, Microsoft technologies consultant, with the report «Microsoft OEM Reseller Option Kit. More efficient server supply with the manufacturer’s trademarks».
- Dmitry Grinko, Enterprise Business Manager, Russia and CIS, DELL, announced the manufacturers’ new models of mobile computers, working stations Dell Precision, servers and Data Storage Systems in his report. And Sergey Savin, DELL, told the partners about the advantages of the manufacturer’s partner program.
- Representative of Intel Corporation Alexey Andriyenko made a report “Server processors Intel Xeon of E3-1200 and E7-4800 series”, where he spoke in details about the new vendor’s processors.

Then it was time to show the strength and agility at the bowling-tracks: partners were split into teams, invented creative names and proceeded to the battle. The atmosphere was heating from frame to frame.
In view of 2 games results the team “Karandash” was the first with the score of 1,283 points. The team “Burunduki” was the second one with the result of 1,184 points, and the third one was “Yobs” that had 1,145 points.
In Novosibirsk the unique record was achieved in the individual games: Andrey Bazlov showed the best male result with 218 points in one game, which is higher than the last year’s record of Bowling Championship MERLION CUP’2010 with 186 points.
The best result among women (in one game) was shown by Olga Kazachek from the team “Dnevnye snaypery”, with 111 points.
The team-winner will take part in the final game of Club in autumn 2011 in Moscow for the title of the most athletic representative of system integration in Russia!
