At the end of March this year in one of the most beautiful cities of Turkey, Istanbul, there was a visiting conference held for prospective regional partners of the Department "System Integrators" of the MERLION company. The world's leading manufacturers of the computer hardware, such companies as AMD, HP, Lenovo and Microsoft supported this ceremony. In addition to an official part of the conference, participants enjoyed the fabulous views of Istanbul and took part in an exciting incentive program organized according to one of the novels written by the English writer Agatha Christie.
From March 31 to April 3, in the hospitable and welcoming Turkey in the city Istanbul the visiting conference for prospective regional partners of MERLION Department “System Integrators" was held. The action was supported by the global IT vendors - the companies AMD, HP, Lenovo and Microsoft. About fifty MERLION partners from different parts of the Russian Federation (the most "extreme point" was the distant city Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) attended the Conference.
The official part of the ceremony began with the public speech made by the representatives of the MERLION company. Welcoming remarks were made to the partners by the following persons: Eugeny Achkasov, The Head of the Department "System Integrators", Nadezhda Blanket, The Head of the Direction "Enterprise", and Julia Pechnikova, The Head of the Business Development Department.
After that the representatives of the vendors gave their partners the relevant information about their new products, development plans and progress in the Russian market. This part of the forum was opened by HP representatives:
- Dmitry Penyaz, The Head of the Standard Architecture Servers Department, HP, made a speech on "HP ProLiant servers as the basis of a converged infrastructure", in which he stressed that every family of HP servers can provide the maximum opportunities for business development. As concerning HP ProLiant servers, they are different in system innovation for hardware solutions and maximum compatibility.
- Nicholay Starikov, The Partner Relationship Manager (CIS), made a speech on "Overview of software solutions in HP Software", "HP Software Partner Program", where he presented new HP software solutions to the participants of the forum.
- Alexander Kudryashov, The Engineer made on the forum with the presentation on "The HP netware and the growth of our business partners".
- Anton Surzhikov, The Technical Specialist in HP IPG printing and scanning devices made the presentation "HP Business Inkjet printers are more economic and efficient" to the audience. He has also announced the knew HP products in the field of manufacturing printing devices and described to the partners the unique technologies employed by the manufacturer in printer production process.
After that the conference was continued by Paul Gudtsov, Lenovo Product Manager for the corporate sector. In his report "Lenovo solutions to the corporate segment", he announced some interesting solutions for business to the partners. Stanislav Kabatsky, Key Account Manager introduced his presentation "AMD processors and video cards", and the work at the conference was completed by Alena Andriyanova, The International Key Account Manager, she made the presentation "Microsoft New Server Products and Technologies".

When the official part of the forum was over, all participants had a celebratory dinner in the restaurant that has a very beautiful view to the famous Straits called Golden Horn. Just at that spot the game "Brain Ring" based on the legendary detective stories was carried out. The winner of the game was a team of partners representing the North-West District, headed by the Sales Director of the North-West Department "System Integrators" of the MERLION company, Tatiana Schelyaeva.
The guests of the forum not only worked effectively, but also they kindly became familiar with the cultural heritage of the legendary Turkish city. For example, the conference participants made a sightseeing tour of Istanbul, which brought away the lasting impressions thanks to the amazing story about the old city told by a highly professional tour guide. Istanbul's most famous sightseeing, such as the Blue Mosque, the Topkan Palace Museum, St. Sophia Temple Museum and the famous Grand Bazaar left a lot of impressions on the forum participants. The conference guests appreciated the real Turkish flavor of the elegant balustrades, ancient towers and magnificent bridges, narrow streets and worship songs. It was not possible to avoid the fabulous oriental sweet things, as well as the world famous Turkish coffee!
Also, the conference guests took part in an exciting detective incentive program. There were six teams that were looking for artifacts based on the famous book "Murder in the Orient Express" written by the English writer Agatha Christie. Teams had to make several photos of different parts of the busy Turkish city, and to present 10 pictures in compliance with the given task. The winner in such an extraordinary examination was a team consisting of PFO partners led by the Head of the Sales Department "System Integrators" of the MERLION company -Jana Surzhikova. The team members got some souvenirs.

This exciting game was completed by a celebratory dinner on board a ship, cruising in the Strait of Bosporus, and all the participants raised their glasses and celebrated the completion of the conference.
