“Technology Fair” in Bashkortostan

On 22 of May 2008 Ufa was welcoming the conference of MERLION company of “MERLION: Fair of technologies» Series.

This is the fourth conference of the given series in the current year . Earlier, conferences were held in such towns as Kazan, Nizhni Novgorod and Ekaterinburg.

Ufa conference consisted of two parallel sessions. Each session was visited by 60 representatives of companies – system integrators and companies developing retail sales of computer and digital technical means. Programs of the sessions were compiled according to the interests of each audience.

New line of Sapphire graphic cards was presented by Konstantin Martynenko, manager on technical marketing of Sapphire company. Disks and technologies of Western Digital were introduced by Oleg Leontiev, engineer on technical means adaptation of Western Digital company. With report named “AMD – a reasonable choice” appeared Konstantin Voron, manager on technical means adaptation of AMD company. Ovsiannikov Stanislav, manager on partnership work of the HP company, told about effective solutions of HP for the business in the field of printing. The session was ended by Nikolai Surin, manager of the trade group “notebooks” business development of MERLION company, on the subject: “Acer: mobile PC”.

Session for representatives of companies – system integrators of the region, partners of project distribution account of MERLION company - was opened with welcoming speech by Pavel Ovchinnikov, the head of regional sales department of MERLION System Solutions in Privolzhski and South federal regions of RF. Server systems Sun x64 were presented by Aleksei Ilyin, manager on the beginning stage production of Sun company. News over printing technical means of Samsung was introduced by Pavel Krasnikov, trainer on production of B2B Samsung company. Aleksei Morozov, manager on partner work of POWERCOM company, addressed the report named: “Uninterrupted power supply POWERCOM for corporate buyers: models and peculiarities”. Ovsyannikov Stanislav, the account manager of the HP company, told about network solutions of HP ProCurve.

Wide range of subjects was discussed over “round table” as well.

“Fair of technologies” ended with festive reception and entertainment program.

Partners were coming during the whole term of the event as soon as opportunity of breaking from their urgent business appeared. It is worth to notice that the events were visited not only by partners from Ufa but also from other towns of Bashkortostan. There were a lot of acquaintance meetings and successful negotiations. The first time we presented our new supplier in our region – Sun that attracted great interest of our partners. The maim advantage of such regional visits I see in possibility to communicate with partners directly and learn each other closer. To answer on many questions about MERLION, about changes inside the company, discussing tendencies of market, jointly planning further actions” in live conversation.

Vladislav Ivachev, head of regional sales department in South federal region of MERLION company, stressed the following aspects of the event: “The conference was extremely useful both for us, and for our partners. Moreover, I am sure that the prolonged positive effect on our partnership relations will be retained for a long time. Retailers of the region had a possibility to talk with representatives of companies – leaders in the industry that are carrying such names as WD, HP, Acer, and those who appeared in successful combination, such as AMD, ATI и Sapphire. The large number of the questions asked shows that it is not enough to have distant support in our business and there is a need of personal contact with suppliers. Partners were acquainted with the further development strategy of MERLION company, received maximum of information concerning perspectives of joint work. What concerns our part, we are satisfied with creation of personal contacts and with working up some agreements with a number of partners o0f the region”.
