IT-companies of Voronezh showed high class at the MERLION CUP'2010 tournament

On September 17, 2010, on the top of Indian summer, in Voronezh, in the bowling-club “Spartak” the 6-th qualifying round of Russian bowling championship among partners of MERLION CUP 2010, supported by HP, was successfully finished. About 40 partners, who tried with pleasure their power in excitable contests, visited MERLION Tournament.

Before the beginning of the contest Anton Surzhikov, technical specialist (printing and scanning devices) of the HP IPG Russia, held the presentation “How to sell НР OfficejetPro devices and their competitive advantages”. Mr Surzhikov in his report announced new interesting products and told the participants of the tournament about the distinctive features and advantages of devices of the НР OfficeJetPro line. Then participants of the tournament MERLION CUP 2010 made up their minds to win and raffled off first sets.

In the upshot of the contest the best result was achieved by the “Gulfstream” team, which scored 295 points. The second place was taken by “Raketa” team; it’s members scored 194 points. Our congratulations to the winners and prize winners of the Championship!

Besides, according to the existing tradition, in the course of the tournament best players were determined in the individual rating. In Voronezh the best results were shown by:

• Dmitry Novichihin, “Gulfstream” team – “Best male result” (153 points);
• Irina Stolyarova, “Raketa” company – “Best female result” (110 points);
• The largest number of strikes was made by Dmitry Novichikhin, “Gulfstream” team (13).

In the course of the qualifying round in Voronezh participants of sports battles could show to the public and the judges not only their strength and deftness in bowling, but also literary talents. According to the conditions of one of the contests participants had to compose a poem or a slogan with three words in it: Voronezh, HP and MERLION. The participants were really good in the literary contest and astonished the organizers and the guests of the tournament with their creative abilities and wit. A representative from the “Ret” team became the winner of the contest.

The first All-Russian bowling Championship MERLION CUP’2010 continues! Besides Voronezh, qualifying rounds have already taken place in Krasnodar, Moscow, Krasnoyarsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Ufa and Novosibirsk (Story in pictures from the Novosibirsk round will be published in the nearest future). Saint-Petersburg is in queue.
