iRU has become a member of the EDMA – Electronics Developers and Manufacturers Association

The goal of the Association is to revive and develop the Russian electronics industry.

iRU, one of the leading Russian manufacturers of computer equipment, has become a member of the EDMA – Electronics Developers and Manufacturers Association, and along with other leaders of the Russian IT market, the company will take an active part in its activities for the benefit of the industry.

EDMA is a non-profit association of members of the Russian electronics industry established in 2017.
The goal of the Association is to revive and develop the Russian electronics industry by coordinating the activities of private companies and the State, strengthening industry cooperation, conducting career guidance activities among young professionals, further increasing export potential and entering global markets.

The Association started its activity a little less than two years ago and is developing very dynamically: today more than 40 companies (manufacturers of electronic equipment, manufacturers of components and modules, companies providing services for contract manufacturing, services for contract electronics development) are already part of the organization and every month 2-3 companies join it.

The main activities of the EDMA are the development of the industry strategy, State, customs and technical regulation, information security issues, formation of industry cooperation, export development, training and attraction of the employees. The Association communicates with such State bodies as the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Presidential Executive Office, the Federation Council, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Russian National Payment Card System and others.

 "iRU, being one of the largest local developers and manufacturers of computer equipment, along with other members of the Association will represent the interests of the industry in the discussion of long-term development plans at the State level," iRU General Manager Sergey Kochepasov said. "When solving the problems of localization and technological independence in the IT sphere, iRU sees its mission in supporting the exchange of experience in the development of electronics and IT-equipment to improve the cooperation performance and competitiveness of products made in Russia."
