RBC published the fifth rating of the “500 largest companies in Russia” (RBC-500). MERLION, the largest Russian wide-profile distributor, occupies line No. 58.

The objectives of the rating are to determine the largest Russian companies by identifying ownership by industry, as well as to identify trends in economic processes taking place in sectors of the Russian economy.

The anniversary rating of the largest companies involves 625 representatives of 33 sectors of the economy. 125 companies go without a position number in the ranking (120 of them are with foreign ownership, and five are multi-profile holding companies). The rating includes companies owned by Russian individuals and legal entities, most of whose assets are located in Russia, regardless of whether they are registered in Russia or abroad.

The main indicator of the rating by which the company is ranked is net revenue - revenue excluding VAT, excise taxes, and export duties. The lower bar for entering the rating in terms of revenue rose by 21.1%, to 21.6 billion rubles (17.8 billion rubles Last year). In 2018, this indicator was more modest and amounted to only 2.5%.
