According to the results of 2020, the company's total revenue increased by 34% compared to the previous year and amounted to 415 billion rubles.

MERLION summed up the results of 2020, which showed positive results in all key areas of business. Thus, the company's total revenue increased by 34% and amounted to 415 billion rubles (compared to 309.4 billion rubles in the 2019 calendar year). The number of product items in the distribution portfolio exceeded 215 thousand. The total number of employees has reached 14,800 people.

The divisions' shares in the total revenue were distributed as follows: broadline distribution division (BDD) - 40.5%, Citilink - 33.4%, VAD division - 25.2% (it includes project distribution of IT solutions and MERLION's various business directions in the field of IT services). Citilink showed the largest growth (by 46.2%). Next come BDD(33.2%) and VAD (22.7%). There have been changes in the distribution structure - in the spring of 2020, a new division of private labels (PL) was formed based on the H&E division (household appliances and electronics). Now the entire distribution of household appliances and consumer electronics is included in the BDD. The PL division is responsible for developing its own brands, brands with exclusive distribution agreements, and stationery brands.

Business projects and subsidiaries are also showing positive results. The Citilink network of electronics and household appliances stores expanded its product portfolio, breaking the mark of 1,000 global brands and 90 thousand items of goods on the company's website, and active work on regional expansion made it possible to develop the network's offline presence to more than 800 stores and points of delivery all over Russia. The computer equipment manufacturer iRU has produced over 200 thousand units of products (PCs, servers, laptops) in a year while still focusing on import substitution and became one of the founders of a consortium of computer equipment manufacturers created in Russia. MerliOnCloud started cooperating with retailers and made its catalog available to all MERLION partners on the b2b portal. The POSITRONICA franchise chain of electronics stores has increased the number of offline points by 94 (full-format stores and points of issue); their total number has reached 264. Bureaucrat became the first Russian office furniture and stationery company to enter the German market - the products of this brand are presented on large marketplaces operating in this region, including Amazon and eBay. The online store for legal entities Buroshop.ru entered the regions and showed a 3-fold increase in turnover year-on-year.

Dmitry Vinogradov, MERLION CEO:

"We were able to achieve excellent business growth indicators primarily thanks to our team; each employee showed themself in the best possible way this year. It is also worth noting such factors as the rapid transition to a hybrid office format and several strategic agreements with major partners. We are also proud of many years of successful cooperation with many global vendors. Our joint action helped to avoid tangible shortages in many product categories of computer technology and consumer electronics in the past year."
