AnalyticsHub and INFOPRO Group LLC have developed a new digital solution based on trainable neural networks

AnalyticsHub (part of the Merlion Group) and INFOPRO Group LLC have developed a new software package for high-precision forecasting of electricity generation and consumption. The models are based on trainable neural networks (machine learning) and provide more accurate forecasting, which can reduce costs and improve efficiency in the wholesale electricity and capacity market (WECM). New analytical panels are part of a number of INFOPRO digital solutions, including "INFOPRO: Digital Twin of RES", "INFOPRO: Digital Power Supply", "INFOPRO: Digital Twin of Energy Complex" and are intended for digitalization of generating companies, power supply organizations, energy-intensive enterprises.

The developed software has a wide range of functionality:

• automated data collection and processing for forecasting (including actual consumption/production, weather data for RES generation forecasting, etc.);
• changing, testing, and teaching mathematical models;
• forecasting for several groups of supply points (GSP) and development of individual models for each GSP;
• generating reports to monitor the quality of the forecasts provided;
• forming sets (ensembles) of forecasting models – individual setting of parameters for each model with a possibility to choose the sequence of forecasts generation.

The high accuracy of short-term (two hours ahead for the balancing market) and medium-term (a day ahead for the DAM) forecasting allows to minimize deviations of actual generation/consumption from the planned indicators, increasing the cost of electricity sales on the wholesale electricity and capacity market.
