The first batches of two AI-powered models have already arrived at the distributor's warehouse.
Merlion has signed a distribution agreement with the Russian division of DreamSmart Group, a major Chinese developer of cutting-edge technologies in areas such as smart electric vehicles, smartphones, XR, operating systems, and wearable smart devices.
DreamSmart Group is bringing the Meizu smartphone brand back to the Russian market after its exit in 2019, selecting Merlion as its exclusive distributor in Russia. The first batches of two models, Note 21 and Note 21 Pro, have already arrived. These budget-friendly, 7-inch devices are equipped with artificial intelligence. They offer 4GB and 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and battery capacities of 6000 mAh and 4950 mAh, respectively.
“Meizu values the loyalty of its users in Russia, which is why we’ve included this region among the first to relaunch the brand,” commented Nikolai Pulich, Director of Broadline Distribution at Merlion and Citilink. “Since Meizu smartphones are known for being affordable and reliable with solid performance, I’m confident they’ll be warmly welcomed.”
“The success of a brand largely depends on choosing the right distribution partner. Meizu highly appreciates Merlion’s experience in this product category and the professionalism and expertise of its team. We expect the distributor not only to meet targets but to also contribute to the brand’s position in the Russian market,” noted Binbin Gu, Executive Director of DreamSmart Group.
