MERLION added DBMS from Postgres Professional into its portfolio

Developments of Postgres Professional on the basis of PostgreSQL DBMS are included in the register of domestic software.

MERLION, one of the leading players in the Value Added Distribution market, has added Postgres Professional solutions, including Postgres Pro DB, the Russian version of the PostgreSQL database management system, into its product portfolio.

Postgres Professional is a Russian company created in 2015 by developers, three of whom have international status as a major contributor in the PostgreSQL project. PostgreSQL database management system with open source and free license is supported by the international developer community for more than 20 years. Postgres Pro DBMS, promoted by Postgres Professional, is included in the register of domestic software products. Postgres Pro Standard version contains the most up-to-date assembly of the mass market PostgreSQL DBMS, supplemented by patches and extensions from Postgres Professional developers and the international community. As a result, Russian users of Postgres Pro DBMS gain access to all new features of open DBMS without waiting for the completion of the full cycle of PostgreSQL release development, which takes about a year.
