MERLION signed a distributor agreement with the developer of OS Astra Linux

MERLION, one of the major players on Russia's IT distribution market, signed a direct agreement with “Russian Basic Information Technologies” (RusBITech) company.

RusBITech is the developer of the Astra Linux operating system, including Astra Linux Special Edition – the first OS certified in accordance with new requirements of FSTEC Russia. Thus, Astra Linux Special Edition is the only operating system in Russia approved by the FSB, Ministry of Defence and FSTEC.

Astra Linux Special Edition provides the protection of state secret information, including top secret data. Astra Linux is a multifunctional operating system and may be used to process any information with restricted access such as personal data, commercial and state secrets either on stand-alone computers or within complex geographically-distributed systems.

In addition to operating systems, RusBITech also develops solutions for forming a protected virtual environment that provides functioning and control over virtual machines, including machines within special-purpose OS Astra Linux Special Edition in conditions of discretionary and mandatory access control.

For now, over 80 IT partners of RusBITech, including leading Russian corporate systems developers (analytical and financial systems, production and business process automation systems and security solutions) have adopted their software and hardware systems for functioning in the OS Astra Linux environment.
