The distributor was once again included in the list of the largest companies in Russia, coming in at 61 in the overall rating. As for the industry-specific ratings, the company earned 5th place in the Wholesale category.
The Kommersant newspaper published its 24th rating of Russia’s Largest Companies in terms of Sales Revenues (RAEX-600) prepared by the RAEX agency (RA Expert). MERLION has been included in the rating for 13 years (since 2005), and this time came in at 61st in the overall rating and 5th in the Wholesale category of industry-specific ratings.
From 1995 to 2003, this rating only included industrial enterprises and was limited to 200 participants. In 2004, the list was expanded to 400 participants, and any company could take part, irrespective of its scope of activities. Since 2015, the rating includes 600 companies. Since 2017, non-state pension funds (NPFs) and leasing companies have also joined in. The list is compiled by ranking companies based on product (works, services) sales volumes in 2017.
It is worth noting that MERLION was also recently included in the following ratings: RBC 500 Largest Companies in Russia (No. 57) and Forbes 200 Largest Private Companies in Russia (No. 33).
