Revenue has grown by 88% and the service Cactus has grown threefold.

The MERLION Group of Companies, one of the leaders in Russian retail and the largest broadline distributor, has summarized the financial year of the fulfillment operator Tempoline. In December 2021, the Group of Companies acquired a 51% share of the provider and gained access to various company projects.

In 2021, Tempoline's net revenue amounted to 740 million rubles, compared to 392 million rubles in 2020. Year-on-year growth amounted to 88.7%. High indicators can be associated with several factors, for example, warehouse space has been expanded threefold and a project has been launched for foreign customers, making it possible to sell goods on the Russian market through Tempoline services under a commission agreement without the involvement of a legal entity.

The online store Cactus' cloud service also showed growth compared to last year. Shipments from customers to marketplaces through this system has increased by 12 times.

The company is planning to launch financial services and a mobile application this year. Tempoline is also considering launching a franchise project for the regions.

"This year, we have set out ambitious plans in terms of ideological development and IT support of our customers. Our knowledge of the e-commerce market and the capacity of the Merlion group of companies have paid off in 2021. We have no intention of abandoning our plans in the near future and we're going to start intense work on our project's ecosystem, while closely monitoring the current situation on the market and, if necessary, adjusting our strategy," commented Natalia Subbotina, Tempoline's CEO and founder, discussing the year's outcomes.
