1 September, 2004 MERLION has announced its merger with the wholesale division of TAISU Company. The new entity will allow MERLION to enlarge its dealer’s network.
September, 1 MERLION, Russia`s leading distributor of computer equipment and components, announced officially its merger with the wholesale division of TAISU Company.
The negotiations were carried out during the Summer 2004 and at the end of August the wholesale division of TAISU has accepted the offer to join MERLION.
The new entity will allow to enlarge the dealers network of MERLION and reduce the infrastructure pressure before the high-season. The officials of MERLION marked the high professionalism of TAISU staff and pointed out that the company is well structured and organized, this, certainly, will smooth the integration of the major business processes.
In the nearest future - the informational integration of two IT-systems, which will help the sales division to develop the new product assortment in a short period (currently MERLION handles the product range with more than 3600 items, TAISU - more than 1600 items).
"We do not consider a large-scale reorganization in the united company - as the distributive technologies cannot differ greatly", - pointed out the Marketing Director of MERLION Vadim Yarotskiy.
The additional information on the integration process and further plans will be announced later.
