MERLION and PocketBook have signed a distribution agreement.
Moscow, June 7, 2010. MERLION has received the official distributor status for sales of PocketBook ТМ mobile readers (www.pocketbook-global.ru) in the territory of Russia. For MERLION, as the leading Russian IT distributor, this cooperation opens up extra opportunities for development of the newly introduced consumer line of “Mobile readers.”
“So far people willing to buy a reader could do it mostly via online stores, but too many Russian customers are still not ready to buy a product without holding it in their hands first. Thanks to such a powerful partner as MERLION, PocketBook is planning to ensure its quick and effective entry into retail chains and regional markets due to a wide dealer network of this leading Russian IT distributor, that includes more than 3,100 partners. We plan that in July mobile readers will be available to customers in the most far-flung regions of Russia,” say PocketBook representatives.
PocketBook products are already on the sales catalogues of MERLION and available for ordering by all its partners. Retail outlets of MERLION – the national “POSITRONICA” electronics retail chain (www.positronica.ru) and the CITILINK computer discounter chain (www.citilink.ru) are already selling PocketBook readers.
MERLION notes that PocketBook products will not only be sold, but also promoted in the territory of the Russian Federation, within the framework of the newly signed distribution agreement. June 7 is the starting point of the joint marketing program for promotion of PocketBook products in wholesale and retail channels.
