MERLION gets distribution for Samsung mobile phones

MERLION, the leading Russian IT distributor, and Samsung Electronics, the world leader in production of semiconductor and telecommunications equipment, have concluded an agreement, giving MERLION the status "Official distributor of Samsung mobile phones and smartphones". The agreement is permanent and entitles the distributor to sell and promote Samsung mobile solutions in the Russian Federation.

Samsung Electronics is a long-time and one of the largest suppliers of MERLION. A wide range of Samsung solutions is represented in the distributor's inventory. Apart from computers, consumables, they include TV, audio, video, photo and digital equipment, as well as home appliances. Tatyana Andreeva, Business Development Director, MERLION, comments: "Samsung mobile phones were included in the assortment of MERLION in December 2009 (under the new business line "Home appliances and electronics"), and now, in November 2010, the first lot of phones, supplied directly from the vendor, has arrived at the warehouse. The result of the first months of sales of these popular phones in our market is a pleasant fact -  high demand on the part of our partners-dealers, as well as our retail projects "POSITRON" and "CITILINK", provide for sales growth of approximately 30% every month. This has been the reason for getting direct distribution rights. This agreement gives us great scope for development of the product group "Mobile phones" as we can now always offer our partners the best conditions for wholesale purchases and support for retail sales of Samsung mobile phones and smartphones.

The cooperation between MERLION and Samsung promises utmost effect -. the manufacturer is aware of MERLION business scale and shows interest in its partner network (more than 3,100 companies in all the regions of the Russian Federation).

It should be noted that in the course of more than 10 years MERLION has been the official distributor concerned with many of Samsung solutions.
