Sales of Supermicro servers and server options in MERLION are growing by one third per month.
MERLION, Russian leading IT-distributor, summarized the results of the first eight months of sales of Supermicro solutions, the biggest American manufacturer of computer parts. Every month sales of servers and server options of this vendor in MERLION grow by one third on the average. These results become even more convincing in the view of the fact, that MERLION started selling Supermicro products not long ago – in November 2010, after signing of the direct distribution agreement.
The distributor calls such high sales growth rates predictable as for the last three years the share of Enterprise solutions in the distributor’s turnover has grown tremendously and now comes into TOP-3 of commodity areas. Besides, the data storage system market remains one of the most rapidly developing one, and is dramatically affected by vigorous development of DOD and cloud services segment.
“MERLION stakes on development of server accessories area, and of course much attention is given to Supermicro solutions. Support given by the vendor – with regard to commerce, service and marketing – only helps us to achieve mutual plans”, MERLION representatives note. As Enterprise solutions are one of the strategic development areas for MERLION, the company intends not only to supply high tech equipment at competitive prices to its partners, but also to render additional services, for example, to provide fast and qualitative logistics, help partners to develop requirements specifications for the customers, etc.
In conclusion it should be mentioned that the distributor faces ambitions plans: to enter the triad of the best Supermicro distributors in Russia by the end of the current year.
