MERLION jointly with Quest Software participated in the VIII international InfoSecurityRussia 2011 expo

MERLION, Russia’s largest IT distributor, took part in the VIII international InfoSecurityRussia 2011 expo that was held on September 28-30, 2011 in Moscow. The expo welcomed 129 Russian and foreign companies to present their solutions and services for creation and protection of information systems, storages and networks. In the three days of operation, it was visited by over 4,000 managers and experts in IT and information security services, network departments of government and corporate clients, small and medium businesses.

The booth shared by MERLION and Quest Software offered up-to-date software and hardware solutions in information security. Among those was Quest Authentication Services that extends security and management capabilities of Active Directory to Unix, Linux and Mac platforms. Another presentation item for the expo participants was the Quest ChangeAuditor product family that performs proactive monitoring and audit, creates reports and notifies of any changes in Active Directory, Exchange, EMC, NetApp, SQL Server and Windows file servers. The booth also presented a deployed virtual laboratory for the Quest One Privileged Session Manager product. The product performs session management, audit, recording and playback of user actions that demand a higher attention, e.g. administrators and outsourcers. All booth visitors were able to see the product in action and evaluate its features.

Apart from product presentations, MERLION held a seminar for its partners, called “Server Infrastructure Security, Advanced User Actions Auditing and Privileged Account Monitoring”, within the business framework of the exposition. The seminar admitted over 50 participants. Konstantin Shurunov, Quest Software’s technical expert, spoke in detail about product features that ensure information security and the company’s successful experience of participating in the world IT market.
