MERLION – “The Best Russian IT-Distributor in 2013”

CRN/RE edition summed up the results of the fourth rating “Best Russian IT-Distributors in 2013”. In four of five nominations MERLION has entered top-5 best distributors, in one of them it took 1st place.

Distributors activity in the rating was assessed from different sides. Survey respondents were representatives of 331 IT-companies from 37 cities - top managers, Procurement, Sales and Logistics Department staff and managers of Marketing Divisions in dealership companies. In 2013 rating, as before, edition did not prepare initial list of candidates, but suggested to survey participants to name five candidates for the title of the “Best IT-Distributor”. So, the final list of candidates was formed on the principle of “open list”.

Respondents were proposed to complete a questionnaire consisting of five tables (one for each of the five nominations: “Best IT-Distributor for Assemblers”, “Best IT-Distributor for System Integrators”, “Best IT-Distributor for Retail”, “Best Software IT-Distributor” and “Best Specialized IT-Distributor”) and assess the work of distributors based on 12 criteria.

Following the results of questionnaire, in the nomination “Best Distributor for Assembler”, MERLION took the first place. Respondents put the highest scores following four of twelve criteria proposed: “Stock availability”, “Width of product range”, “Financial support”, “Marketing support”.

In the nominations “Best Distributor for System Integrator”, “Best Software Distributor” and “Best Distributor for Retail”, MERLION has entered TOP-5 best distributors, meanwhile in the nomination for retail it received the highest scores on “Breadth of product range” and “B2B system availability” criteria.

It is worth noting that in this rating, MERLION has been consistently rated among the best distributors for the fourth time running (previous ratings were in 2007, 2009 and 2011).
