MERLION and Canon Extend Relationship

MERLION, largest wide-profile distributor in Russia, and Canon corporation (www.canon.ru) extend relationship. Parties have signed a new agreement whereunder MERLION in the status of Canon official distributor in Russia has started to directly supply Canon document scanners and large format printers for B2B-segment to the Russian market since this October.

Cooperation between MERLION and Canon has been successfully supported for more than 12 years (since 2001). MERLION is an official distributor of the manufacturer in several directions: photo and video equipment, printers, multifunctional devices, consumables and other office equipment. “Extension of cooperation with such a key vendor as Canon (which, I shall note, is in the TOP-10 of our suppliers) is very important step for us, - says Mikhail Slavinskiy, MERLION`s Distribution Director of “Wide-Profile Distribution" Division. - These directions - document scanners and large format printers - are promising and fast growing in Canon B2B-business, they are very active in gaining its market positions. Extension of the product range of this vendor will allow us to work even more efficiently with the partners focused on the corporate customers. They will receive from us not only the most complete information about Canon products advantages and advantages of their use in business, but also be able to benefit from comprehensive services that MERLION provides within VAD-direction - for example, support by MERLION Engineering Technical Centre experts for optimal solutions development to customers` needs”.

MERLION is not the first official distributor in the Russian market, supplying Canon document scanners and large format printers to Russia, but it is the largest one (over 9,000 partners in all regions of Russia and CIS). Separate team of experts will be allocated within MERLION`s “Wide-Profile Distribution" Division to develop these product groups and promote them in the channel.

In conclusion, it is worth mentioning that a year ago MERLION office in Kazakhstan obtained Canon distribution for printing equipment and supplies to the Kazakh market printers and multifunctional devices, scanners, copiers, original consumables for printing and copying devices (cartridges, paper) and office materials such as calculators.
