MERLION is "The Best Distributor 2013" according to the @ASTERA Business Information Channel

For the tenth year in a row MERLION ranks among the winners of a rating giving a professional evaluation to the quality of the company's cooperation with its partners.

The @ASTERA Business Information Channel summarized the annual survey "The Best Distributors". The opinion poll has been held in the period from the 1st of October to the 31st of December 2013. The main goal of the survey was to determine the positions of distribution companies in Russia in accordance with opinions of partners (resellers).

This year the MERLION company, which consistently belongs within the Top-20 since 2004, was for the tenth time given a title "The Best Distributor 2013", furthermore it got the second place for the first time after it had surged by nine positions within a year.

The Best Distributors Rating provides a professional evaluation to the quality of the company's cooperation with resellers: it is based on an average point resulted from the interviewing of representatives of Russian IT-resellers, i.e. that of the companies which represent direct customers of distributors. The interview participants had to evaluate the businesses of 91 distribution companies with use of a scale from 1 to 10 points. According to the interview results 20 companies were chosen to be honored with the title "The Best Distributor".

"Absolutely all survey participants acknowledged that the year 2013 was not easy for the IT-market, and some of the segments thereof can be regarded as the most disappointing ones. However, in view of general economic market uncertainty the relations of manufacturers and distributors became in most cases even more enhanced. <…>

So who is a perfect distributor? In 2013 manufacturers laid stress on working with companies having lots of regional branches. But this is not only an obligation - vendors themselves did everything possible to ease the problem of production distribution for their partners, understanding all the difficulty of solving them in such a huge country. Equally important desires were compliance with business ethics and respect for partners, having the tried and tested internal business-processes and well organized logistics network, understanding of marketing tools for decisions and products promotion within the channel, commitment to train specialists. And as before every distributor had to focus on the qualitative, but not the quantitative part of business".
