Intel Corporation awarded MERLION, Russia’s largest broadline distributor, for successful promotion of compact computers of the NUC range in the Russian market, as well as for an outstanding growth of sales of Intel-powered smart phones and tablets.
The award ceremony took place at the Intel Channel Executive Conference held in Lisbon October 20-22, 2014. The award was presented to the Russian partner by Nigel Dallas-Conte, Director of Distribution Reseller Channel Organization EMEA Intel Corporation. On behalf of the Russian company, the award was received by Denis Maltsev, Strategic Development and Marketing Director of MERLION.
The American corporation traditionally invites large partners and distributors from the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa) to European events of the Intel Channel Executive Conference to celebrate their success in promoting various solutions. For example, at the last-year conference in Rome, MERLION was awarded for its outstanding results in the area of sales of processors for desktop computers, as well as for assistance in the channel development for Intel products in Russia.
Let us recall that MERLION has been Intel’s authorized distributor from 2006. In December 2009, the vendor distinguished MERLION with two prestigious awards at once - for a record-high growth of Intel processors sales and for maintaining the availability of a wide range of Intel products in the regions of the Russian Federation. Since then, the distributor has virtually annually succeeded in achievement prominent results recognized by Intel’s special awards.
Currently, among the 450 brands represented in the MERLION’s portfolio, Intel is among the TOP 10 popular and sought-for ones for the distributor’s partners.
