MERLION is Now an Official Distributor of HGST

Russia’s top VAD distributor MERLION signed a distribution contract with HGST, a leading manufacturer of hard drives.

HGST, formerly known as Hitachi Global Storage Technologies or Hitachi GST, is a subsidiary of Western Digital. It develops and produces mobile, external, server-based and industrial hard drives, corporate-class solid-state drives and various innovative solutions for storing and managing data.

MERLION’s contract with HGST came into effect on the 1st of April. The Russian distributor can now promote all of the vendor’s products, from high-performance corporate-level solutions for servers and data processing systems that can operate 24/7 to NAS drives and popular external drives. The developer’s special technologies allow these drives to both keep and arrange data on them.

MERLION’s already large data storage portfolio keeps expanding as the company stakes a wider claim on the corporate and consumer markets. The country’s number one broadline distributor knows how to work with both leading system integrators that cater to large companies and with retail networks that serve home user segment.

The new agreement with HGST is another effort on the part of MERLION to offer its partners best solutions from the best manufacturers who show real interest in the Russian market.
