WD has presented MERLION with an award

The corporation WD, leading global manufacturer of external and internal hard disks, has presented MERLION, the largest Russian full-range distributor and one of the leaders on the VAD distribution market, with an award as the best partner competently managing the stock reserves and actively promoting WD products in the channel.

MERLION has been collaborating with WD for more than ten years; since 2005 it is the official distributor of the American corporation. In this period, the distributor got the sales of the whole range of WD products up and running, and the brand itself made it into the TOP 20 most in-demand brands in the MERLION product portfolio, which includes more than 400 well-known trademarks.

The award was presented to the Russian partner at the annual partner meeting WD Executive Summit, which took place in May 2015 in Hamburg. On behalf of the distribution company it was accepted by MERLION’s strategic development and marketing director Denis Maltsev.

“The storage systems and components for them are one of the most highly competitive and dynamically developing segments of the global IT market,” Denis Maltsev noted. “To stay in the lead in that niche, the manufacturer needs to keep improving its technologies and product lines.
