RBC published the first rating of 500 leaders in the Russian business.
RBC Multimedia Holding published the first rating «500 largest Russian companies ». MERLION Co., the largest Russian broadline distributor, is among the first hundred in the line No.51.
500 leaders of the Russian business were selected to participate in the rating. The central-office companies of operating holdings developing the consolidated statements with due regard for the performance of both parent company and its subsidiaries take part in it. The main criterion of the rating to range the companies is the revenues exclusive of VAT, excise taxes and export duties.
«What does the aggregate of 500 largest Russian companies represent? Their revenues in 2014 exceeded 56 trillion RUR that is equivalent to approximately 77% of the Russian GDP for the same year. Of course direct comparison is inappropriate but it gives a true idea of the rating level: at least 7.5 million people work for the companies included into RBC 500», - the title noted.
