MERLION – “The Best Russian IT-Distributor in 2015”

CRN / RE has summarized the fifth ranking of “The Best Russian IT-Distributors in 2015”. MERLION was traditionally among the TOP-5 Best Distributors in three nominations.

Ranking respondents’ survey was conducted from the end of May to the end of October 2015. 717 IT-companies representatives from 76 settlements became survey respondents - top managers were involved in the survey (General, Executive and Sales Directors and their Deputies), Purchase, Sale and Logistics Departments staff and Marketing Division managers from dealership companies.

Respondents were proposed to fill in the questionnaire consisting of five tables in the following nominations: “The Best IT-Distributor for Collectors”, "The Best IT-Distributor for the System Integrators”, “The Best IT-Distributor for Retail”, "The Best IT-Distributor for Software” and"The Best Specialized IT-Distributor”) and evaluate distributors performance by 12 criteria: “Prices”; “Programs for profit generation (discount systems, rebates, etc.)”; “The width of products range”; “Products stock status”; “B2B system availability (possibility of placing online-orders, tracking of goods passage etc.)”; “Clear standards availability (formal rules and procedures) for work with the partners”; “Flexibility and individual approach to the partners”; “Ability to solve the problems”; “Relationship Management with Vendor”; “Financial support (loans/leasing/factoring etc.)”; “Advice and assistance in projects development”; “Marketing support”. This list of criteria remains unchanged for each ranking.

The editors specifically stressed: “The editorial staff does not provide to its respondents any initial list of distributors. We proposed resellers themselves to call those suppliers who, according to them, deserve more than others the title “The Best IT-Distributor”. Similar approach was adopted in the very first ranking “The Best IT-Distributor” and is still in effect.”

According to the survey, MERLION was ranked among TOP-5 Best Distributors in three nominations:

• “Distributor for Collector” (here, both as in 2013, respondents put the highest score by criterion “The width of products range”).
• “Distributor for System Integrator” (respondents put the highest score on criterion “The width of products range”).
• “Distributor for Retail” (here, both as in 2013, respondents put the highest score on criterion “B2B system availability”).

It is worth noting that MERLION has been consistently ranked among the best distributors for the fifth time in a row in this ranking (previous rankings were published in 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2013).
