MERLION company, the largest Russian broadline distributor and one of VAD-distribution leaders, is a strategic partner in the project of the High Technology Park creation in Yakutsk. The initiative to build an IT-park has been supported by the Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Egor Borisov, by the Far East Development Fund (a part of the structure of Vnesheconombank) and by Sakha (Yakutia) Republic Development Corporation.
It is proposed to actively develop the projects connected with cryogenic, information and nanotechnologies as well as with genetics and bioengineering on the basis of the Yakutsk industrial park. the area of the High Technology Park under construction is estimated at 20 thous. sq.m. For efficient operation of high technology companies, all necessary and related infrastructure which includes congress-halls, banking institutions and restaurants will be created here.

Creation of the Yakutsk High Technology Park includes organization of a powerful data processing center, the resources of which may be used both for successful operation of the industrial park residents and for increasing effectiveness of business and state enterprises operating in the Republic of Sakha. In constructing and developing DPC (data processing center) and other elements of the High Technology Park, MERLION may rapidly supply all the required equipment - from utility and computer equipment to office one. However MERLION Engineering Technical Center is ready to develop IT-architecture of the project and then to maintain it and to adjust its scale, and TEGRUS system integrator (www.tegrus.ru), which has experience in introducing unique solutions in various industries, can build up the utility and computer infrastructure in compliance with the needs of certain resident companies, for example, biologists or those working with extremely low temperatures.
It is planned to start construction of the Yakutsk industrial park and supply of the required equipment already in the second half of this year. Start of commercial operation is planned for the first quarter of 2019.
Total investments in creation of the industrial park in Yakutsk are estimated in the amount of 2 billion rub. as of today. The costs will be shared between the Far East Development Fund, Sakha Republic Development Corporation, the regional budget and private investors. Contribution of MERLION in the project financing amounts to 20%.
The project participants have no doubt that due to the current degree of interest from the governing bodies of the the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) all planned works will be performed on time, and as the years go by the industrial part in Yakutsk will become a unique center of innovation technologies development not only in the region, but in Russia.
