The distributor is on the rise in the key segment of the Russian IT-market, which is forecasted by the experts to grow in the immediate future.
MERLION, one of the leaders of the Russian market for VAD-distribution, begins deliveries of ASUS server solutions. This is the next step of the Russian company taken to expand its presence on the server equipment market.
The deliveries of ASUS server platforms shall be made under the official distribution agreement in force. It’s a reminder that MERLION is one of the oldest and most stable partners of ASUS in Russia. The distributor got his first award from the vendor as far back as in 2003 as the largest supplier of motherboards. To date, apart from the server solutions and components, MERLION portfolio also includes ASUS personal computers (including laptops and all-in-one PCs), and the brand itself is among the four most popular brands. There are plans to further extend cooperation with the manufacturer in the area of distribution of the platforms for assembly of server equipment.
“The Russian market for server platforms remains sufficiently receptive, and its substantial growth is expected in the near-term,” comments Julia Pechnikova, Director of Department for VAD Business Development of MERLION. “The potential and attractiveness of this segment had become defining when deciding about the expansion of our presence in this important market niche”.
