MERLION – No. 61 in RBC rating of 500 largest companies of Russia

22 september 2016

The total receipts of the RBC 500 rating companies had increased by 13.6% to 63.6 trillion rubles.

RBC magazine has published the second rating of the 500 largest companies of Russia (RBC 500). MERLION occupies position No. 61.

The key indicator by which the company is ranked in the rating is net receipts (less VAT, excise and export duties). This year the lower cap for clearing the rating has been raised from 15 billion to 16.2 billion rubles.

“The consolidated revenue of 500 companies of the rating had increased in 2015 by 13.6% and constituted more than 63.6 trillion rubles, and profit had increased by two times up to 4.05 trillion rubles. Moreover, the number of companies with increasing receipts had contracted for the year. If in the previous year there were 397 companies in RBC 500 which had increased sales, now such companies are 375 <…> That is not to say that all the companies from the list had dynamically worked (although there are such companies), the main reason for increase of receipts was inflation and fall of the Ruble, due to which for example, the sales of exporters had increased by 30-40-50% in a year”, - writes the publication.

It is to be recalled that another publication, Forbes, had released its rating of the “200 largest private companies of Russia”, which is held for twelve years in a row and MERLION being among the first fifty participants for all these years is at No. 35 this year.
